The New Orleans Pelicans left a lot to be desired when their season was on the line.
They could’ve avoided the Play-In Tournament by beating the Los Angeles Lakers at home, and they were finally at full strength.
Instead, they trailed by way over 30 points, and never truly stood a chance to beat LeBron James and company.
Even so, sports analyst Craig Carton still believes they could shock the world and pull off the upset tonight.
Talking on “The Carton Show,” he argued that as much as the Lakers have owned them this season, they should be more focused.

Also, the fact that everybody believes the Lakers will crush them and will most likely have money on them sets the table for an upset.
Carton also gave Zion Williamson a lot of credit for finally staying healthy, adding that he’s looked quite well and in good shape while playing a career-best 70 games.
Nonetheless, he admitted that we don’t know how Zion will perform under pressure and in a playoff-like game.
Willie Green’s team was consistent and solid for most of the campaign, which is why it was such a disappointing to see them not even compete at home in such a big game this past weekend.
Still, the Lakers haven’t been a consistent team, and the Pelicans have enough talent to shock the world tonight.
