The Philadelphia Eagles have had a roller coaster of a season.

They went from being 10-1 and having the best record in the league to losing five of their final six games and losing the No. 2 seed and the divisional title.

The coaching staff seemed to lose control of the locker room, and it’s become evident that everybody’s second-guessing every decision; they’re just not comfortable right now.

On top of that, they won’t even be at home for the playoffs, and that’s obviously a big issue for a team stumbling late in the season.

That’s why NFL analyst David Jacoby believes Nick Sirianni’s job could be on the line this weekend.

Talking on The Carton Show, Jacoby stated that the Eagles losing to the Arizona Cardinals, New York Giants, and the worst team in the NFC playoffs — namely the Tampa Bay Buccaneers — should cost him his job.

“If you lose to the Cardinals, the Giants, and the WORST team in the NFC playoffs, I think you lose your job,” Jacoby said.

It’s crazy to think that a coach who led his team to the Super Bowl could be fired the next season despite making the playoffs, but things went south so drastically and rapidly in the City of Brotherly Love.

Also, it’s one thing to be high-maintenance and confident when you’re winning, but that rubs people the wrong way when things aren’t going your way, and it seems like some players feel like Sirianni has already outstayed his welcome and has crossed some lines.

The Eagles still have more than enough talent to take care of business and be a legitimate threat in the playoffs, but the clock is ticking right now.
