The 2023 season started positively for the Philadelphia Eagles.

They were 10-1 through their first 11 games of the season but lost six of their final seven games.

A late-season collapse is typically a sign of what team will show up in the playoffs, which was the case for the Eagles.

They lost their Wild Card matchup to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, getting knocked out of the first round of the playoffs after representing the NFC in the Super Bowl last year.

Craig Carton’s team discussed the Eagles and Dallas Cowboys in a segment of his show.

While his counterparts thought otherwise, Carton believes “The Dallas Cowboys are not a dumpster fire, the Eagles are.”

“The Dallas Cowboys are not a dumpster fire, the Eagles are. And there’s a major difference between the two.”

He might believe the Cowboys underwhelmed expectations heading into the year but thinks the Eagles have many more issues.

One topic surrounding the Eagles that is seen as a problem is their head coach.

Nick Sirianni has been a favorite of players and the fanbase, but recent attitudes have shifted.

For someone who was once beloved around the city of Philadelphia, Sirianni’s loss to the Buccaneers might have exposed some holes within the roster and organization.

If the Eagles reevaluate the direction they want to go in the offseason, Sirianni’s job could be one aspect that changes.

Jalen Hurts is locked in as the team leader, but beyond him, there are many questions to answer on their roster.

One of the most pressing will be to figure out how to replace recently retired center Jason Kelce, who leaves behind a massive gap in production.
