Analyst Says 1 NFL Team Is ‘On The Brink Of Disaster’

Regardless of who they field or how they fare, the Dallas Cowboys will always get people in the seats and fans to tune in.

For years, Jerry Jones seems to have settled for staying relevant, even if that means they’re not competitive.

Many don’t seem to like their chances of actually getting far in the playoffs this season.

Now, with CeeDee Lamb holding out and their offseason being mostly a failure, ESPN analyst Elle Duncan believes they’re on the brink of disaster.

Talking on ESPN’s First Take, she argued that the fact that they haven’t been able to lock up a foundational piece for the future speaks volumes not only about their ability to win but also about how invested — or not — Jerry Jones is in this team.

“[The Cowboys] are knocking on the door so much, I’m wondering if they are trying to sell solar panels or if they’re trying to win football games. … They are on the brink of disaster here.”@ElleDuncanESPN says the CeeDee Lamb holdout is a big deal pic.twitter.com/8wjJrVKYzZ

She argued that Dak Prescott is the only Cowboy making north of $20 million this season, which has also been the case over the past three years.

This situation with Lamb is sending the wrong message, not only for the players currently on the team but also for future free agents.

The Cowboys haven’t won a Super Bowl in more than two decades, yet they continue to operate the same way over and over.

Of course, no one can argue that Jones knows how to make money and build a profitable brand.

As for running a football team that can actually compete in today’s league, he’s left plenty to be desired.
