With Jacoby Brissett most likely set to spend the entire season as their starter, there won’t be too many reasons to tune in and watch the New England Patriots play this season.
Watching Drake Maye’s development was perhaps the only thing to look forward to in Foxboro in 2024, but with most of the work happening behind closed doors, we could be looking at plenty of empty seats at Gillette Stadium.
At least, that’s how analyst Steve Fezzik feels about it.
Talking on the Ross Tucker Podcast, Fezzik claimed that the Patriots looked like an NBA team tanking right now.
He’s so discouraged by what he’s seen from them that he bet they would win under 3.5 games in 2024.

Fezzik believes the Patriots will be the absolute worst team in the National Football League this season.
That’s a bit of a surprise, considering most experts have either the Carolina Panthers or Denver Broncos getting that infamous honor.
Whatever the case, even if they’re not the worst team in the league, their chances of making the playoffs or even cracking .500 are quite slim, to say the least.
Their defense took a big hit with the Matthew Judon trade, and they have a lack of talent on offense.
Their offensive line is subpar, their wide receivers room might be the least impressive in the entire league, and their prized rookie quarterback isn’t ready to take the field.
This will be a very, very long season in Foxboro.
