The New York Jets and Haason Reddick haven’t been able to find any sort of middle ground.
And judging by what we’ve seen thus far, it seems like it’s just not going to happen at all.
Both parties seem to have a different understanding of the situation, and Reddick has now officially requested a trade.
That’s why former NFL player Ross Tucker believes this whole situation is a mess.
In the latest edition of his podcast, he argued that either someone was lying or this was a big case of miscommunication (via DraftKings Network).
.@RossTuckerPod says the situation with the Jets is a MESS.
“It makes absolutely no sense that he would play out the final year of his deal for the Jets if he wasn’t willing to do that in Philadelphia.”

The former player stated that people from Reddick’s camp argued that the Jets offered to get him a new deal, whereas people from the Jets organization thought Reddick was willing to play out the final year of his contract before getting a new contract.
In that regard, Tucker argued that it definitely didn’t make any sense for Reddick to take that approach.
He claimed that Reddick could’ve chosen to stay where he’s from and also play for a Super Bowl contender.
So, if he wanted to leave because of a contract dispute, why would he want to play under the same terms for the Jets?
Truth be told, that makes perfect sense.
Whatever the case, this situation is now officially out of control, and it doesn’t seem like the Jets will be able to do anything to appease the disgruntled pass rusher.
Reddick didn’t play a single snap in New York, and he’s now likely going to be on his way out of the team.
