The Buffalo Bills still are the odds-on favorites to win the AFC East Division, and that’s after trading Stefon Diggs away to the Houston Texans.
Truth be told, it’s hard to envision them being as good in 2024 as they’ve been in the past, as they’ve suffered some big losses in the offseason.
With that in mind, NFL analyst Craig Carton stated that their Super Bowl window has officially closed.
“This is a waste year now for the Buffalo Bills,” Carton said.

Speaking on The Carton Show, Carton claimed that there’s simply no way this team is going to be as good as it’s been after watching the likes of Gabe Davis, Diggs, Jordan Poyer, and many more leave the premises.
He stated that the team has lost half of the defense and doesn’t have a legitimate No. 1 or No. 2 wide receiver, and that adding Mitch Trubisky as Josh Allen’s backup isn’t going to do anything to help their case.
Carton went as far as to state that this would be a waste year for the Bills, as they’re in ‘salary cap hell’ and won’t be able to do much, if anything, to get better.
That seems right on point.
As great a quarterback as Josh Allen is, he needs someone to throw the football to.
Also, given his tendency to do too much when things aren’t going his way, he might be looking at a complicated season ahead of him, turnover-wise.
If that wasn’t enough, having Aaron Rodgers and the new-look New York Jets in the same division won’t do much to help their case.
