For a long time during the Tom Brady era, the New England Patriots were the team to beat in the NFL.

They looked unstoppable in the AFC, and while they didn’t win the Super Bowl every year, they seemingly always had a chance under Brady.

While the Patriots were the picture of NFL success for many years, the past few seasons haven’t exactly met expectations.

A lot of this has had to do with inconsistency in the quarterback room, as the team has seemingly had trouble finding an adequate QB1.

There is some speculation as to the reasons for this inconsistency and toxicity within their locker room, but it ultimately comes down to one person, at least, in the eyes of David Jacoby on The Carton Show.

Jacoby said, “This all really comes down to Belichick.”

“You know why the #Patriots had a toxic quarterback room? Because all their quarterbacks were bad options and they were losing football games. This all really comes down to Belichick.”

Jacoby believes that Bill Belichick is the reason for a lot of the team’s problems, especially as it pertains to their quarterbacks.

Mac Jones has not been the team’s answer at the position, even though Belichick was very high on him coming out of college.

Even when the team kept losing, it felt like Belichick was content with the team’s situation, wanting to keep putting Jones on the field.

Now that he is gone, new coach Jerod Mayo will have some tough decisions to make.

The team might end up trading Jones, especially since they have a high draft pick, which many are projecting to be a brand new quarterback to help this team start fresh.
