Just a couple of months ago, NFL pundits and fans debated how Dak Prescott was the Dallas Cowboys’ weakest link and he was the only thing that could hold them back this season.

Fast forward to today, and the former fourth-round pick is now being considered a legitimate MVP candidate.

That’s why former NFL WR James Jones wanted to give him his flowers, talking on FOX’s Speak about how we’ve been in awe of Prescott’s play for the past eight weeks or so, which is why he believes he should be the No. 1 MVP candidate right now.

Prescott is undoubtedly playing the best football of his career.

He’s using his legs again, and he’s playing mistake-free football and getting all of his weapons involved.

Of course, some would argue that most of his TD passes and passing yards have come when the Cowboys are already up and the fact that they have yet to beat a legitimate Super Bowl contender, but Prescott shouldn’t be to blame for the team’s schedule.

Dak got off to a slow start to the season and was able to overcome it in a big way.

His numbers are among the best in the league, and he’s been the main reason why they’ve been able to demolish losing teams the way they’ve done it.

A win over the Philadelphia Eagles would most likely cement his case and silence the critics once and for all, and it’ll be interesting to see whether he’s going to be up to the task or not.
