For months, people in NFL circles have debated about Bijan Robinson.

While he’s clearly the most talented running back in the draft — and some have gone as far as to say he’s the best player in the class overall — teams have been wary about taking RBs early in the NFL Draft.

That’s why it was kind of shocking to see NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah reporting that the Chicago Bears might consider taking him with the No. 9 pick come April 27.

Robinson is coming off an impressive career with the Texas Longhorns, drawing comparisons to Saquon Barkley by several analysts.

He’s projected to be a plug-and-play kind of guy who could make an immediate impact on any offense, and he’s got the kind of skill set that could make him a successful bell-cow back at the next level.

The Bears lost their primary back in David Montgomery, who left to join the Detroit Lions as a free agent.

They now have D’Onta Foreman and Khalil Herbert at the top of the depth chart, so Robinson would be an obvious candidate to start from day one for Matt Eberflus’ team.

The Bears will most likely continue to lean heavily on the running game.

Justin Fields took a big leap forward in the second half of last season, and they’ll have a much-improved WR corps with a full season of Chase Claypool in the Windy City.

So, don’t sleep on this team and Robinson, who’ll have a lot to prove if he’s actually taken this high in the NFL Draft.
