With the NFL season just around the corner, it’s easy to know where most teams stand right now.

Some are legitimate contenders, while others are just hopeful.

Notably, there are other teams where anything short of a deep postseason trip should and could be considered a big failure.

With that in mind, NFL analyst Bucky Brooks chose the New York Jets and Dallas Cowboys as the two teams facing ‘immense pressure’ this season (Via Around the NFL).

In this edition of the Scout’s Notebook, @BuckyBrooks says the Dallas Cowboys and New York Jets face immense pressure in the 2024 NFL season, with a similar narrative emerging: Win now, or else … Can these two high-profile teams deliver?https://t.co/vEDyiC9yJi pic.twitter.com/0RWg0qmS5S

When it comes to the Cowboys, they had the most disappointing offseason in the entire league.

Not only did they refuse to move on from HC Mike McCarthy after one of the most humiliating playoff losses in franchise history, but they also failed to bring in a single big-name reinforcement.

Despite Jerry Jones claiming to be ‘all-in,’ the Cowboys haven’t extended their current stars.

CeeDee Lamb has yet to report to training camp as he awaits a new deal, and they could be on the brink of disaster.

As for the New York Jets, it would be almost impossible to justify keeping Robert Saleh unless they reach the AFC Championship Game at the very least.

GM Joe Douglas has given him and Aaron Rodgers all the weapons they need to succeed, and if things don’t work, regardless of the reason, chances are he may also be gone.

Unlike the Cowboys, however, the Jets might actually be able to contend.
