The San Francisco 49ers have had one of the best teams in the league for years now, yet they can’t seem to get over the hump.
Kyle Shanahan has put together some elite defenses and has had plenty of help from his top-of-the-line assistants as well.
However, his offense has often been held back by poor quarterback play, but that may no longer be the case with Brock Purdy there.
With that in mind, NFL analyst Brian Baldinger believes we could be in line for a Brandon Aiyuk breakout season.
Baldinger said on 95.7 The Game that he believes Aiyuk will end up being the difference maker offensively for the Niners.
“Brandon Aiyuk has arrived. I just think that’s the guy that I think we’re all counting on right now in San Francisco to put up numbers to change games.”@BaldyNFL says all eyes, hopes and dreams are on Brandon Aiyuk for the #49ers

That’s a lot to say, considering they also have the likes of Christian McCaffrey and Deebo Samuel there.
Aiyuk struggled early last season, but the talent is most definitely there.
The Niners offense looked much better with Purdy on the field, and while he might not be the best quarterback in the game, he’s definitely an improvement over Jimmy Garoppolo and Trey Lance.
It’s been long enough since the Niners last won the Vince Lombardi trophy, and patience might be running out in the Bay Area.
This team needs to fare better and get over the hump once and for all.
And even though it always seems like something gets in their way, health-wise, they also have a solid insurance policy in Sam Darnold, so the table seems set for their passing game to be much-improved, and Aiyuk could have the best season of his career.
