The San Francisco 49ers proved to be one of the best teams in the NFL this season.
Yes, they fell short of their ultimate goal of winning the Super Bowl, but they proved they have one of the league’s best rosters.
The 49ers were viewed as being dominant on both sides of the ball, which cannot be said for many other teams across the league.
They have found great success from their young players on offense and defense, a big reason why they made it to the Super Bowl.
While they had many young players on the roster this year, when looking ahead to 2024, they might have to reevaluate.
Many of those players are nearing the end of their rookie deals, and the front office will need to make some big decisions.
One of the players they will need to decide on is Brandon Aiyuk, who recently stirred up some controversy about his future with the team.
Victor Cruz recently appeared on The Carton Show, and in his mind, keeping Aiyuk is paramount for his team.
“They need him to be the same guy that he was this year,” Cruz said.
“In order for the #49ers to be in contention, they need Aiyuk on this football team. They need him to be the same guy that he was this year.”

Aiyuk was one of the 49ers’ most reliable pass-catchers this past season and was especially useful in the playoffs.
He came up with several big catches in crunch time throughout the playoffs.
Had it not been for Aiyuk, the 49ers might not have made it to the Super Bowl.
In Cruz’s mind, Aiyuk is one of their most valuable pieces, and if they do keep him for the long-term, their chances of making it back to the title game are slim.
