There are a handful of players who can be considered for NFL MVP at the halfway point in the season.
The award is almost exclusively given out to quarterbacks, and one of the favorites is a man who has already won before.
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is having another sensational year.
He is on the shortlist of players that can win the MVP award.
Jackson has led the Ravens to a 6-2 record and has them atop the AFC North.
Kay Adams believes Jackson has played great and is deserving of MVP consideration.

Adams pointed out how Jackson is having one of his best statistical seasons.
His 220.9 yards per game are the second highest of his career and he has the highest completion percentage.
It seems like Jackson continues to get better as a passer each year.
But, he has not forgotten that his legs are what make him dangerous.
He has 74 rushes for 380 yards in eight games.
While he is not on pace for 1,000 rushing yards, he still gives opposing defenses a lot to think about.
The Ravens are set to take on the Seattle Seahawks this weekend.
Both teams enter the game with two losses and are looking for a big win.
Also, both teams are currently at the top of their respective divisions.
This will be another chance for Baltimore to impose their will at home.
In their most recent home game, they beat the Detroit Lions, 38-6.
They are hoping for similar success against another strong NFC opponent.
