The build-up to the NFL Draft is one of the most fun times of the NFL calendar, as every team has a restored sense of hope after the playing field has been leveled following the Super Bowl and everybody is 0-0 again.
The quarterback market is one of the most interesting parts of this draft, as a handful of teams still need to go get a franchise QB, and there are quite a few major prospects at the position.
NFL Network’s Adam Rank said that the Raiders are a team that “should be aggressive” in moving up for a quarterback in the first round, calling them the team most in need of a move up the board, per Around The NFL.

The Raiders cut veteran Jimmy Garoppolo after one uninspiring season in Las Vegas, and the current projected starter is second-year signal-caller Aidan O’Connell, who appeared in 12 games as a rookie and had some promising performances en route to 2,218 yards, 12 touchdowns, and seven interceptions.
Vegas has the 13th pick in the draft, and if they don’t move up, they’ll likely be choosing between the fifth or sixth-best quarterbacks in this draft class, with the top four projected to be gone by picks No. 5 or 6.
It remains unclear if the regime believes in O’Connell as the future of the franchise, as he and then-interim head coach Antonio Pierce rallied the team to an 8-9 record after winning three of their final four games.
If they don’t think he is the guy, they will have to move up to the fourth or fifth pick unless they fall in love with somebody like Bo Nix or Michael Penix Jr. and decide to stay put.
