The 2024 NBA Draft is just around the corner.

And for the first time in history, the conversation isn’t centered around the top-three prospects, which speaks volumes about how underwhelming this class is.

Instead, most of the attention has gone to Bronny James, who wouldn’t even be a first-round draft pick — or even perhaps a second-rounder — in any other year.

With that in mind, college basketball analyst John Fanta claimed that Bronny isn’t even an NBA player right now.

Talking on The Carton Show, the renowned analyst stated that Bronny wasn’t ready to be a marquee player in college, so he’s definitely not ready to play in the league.

Truth be told, Bronny could end up being a very good player.

He has the physical tools, basketball IQ, and tutelage to do so.

On the other hand, he might not even be considered for this year’s selection if he wasn’t LeBron James’ firstborn.

Their desire to play together could stand in the way of his development, and he would’ve benefitted significantly from staying in college for another season.

He’s not to blame for the way his season went with his health scare and whatnot, but the fact of the matter is that he’s not ready.

Hopefully, though, he’ll prove everybody wrong and carry his father’s torch in the league, as the game is always better when we have great players on the court.

But, for the time being, he doesn’t seem to be ready to contribute.
