The Kansas City Chiefs left a lot to be desired in their latest loss.

Patrick Mahomes’ reputation took a big hit after he snubbed Josh Allen to complain about the referees, and the fact that they argued the refs should’ve warned Kadarius Toney that he was offsides only made things worse.

Toney has been extremely disappointing this season.

Nonetheless, NFL analyst David Helman believes giving up on him would be a major mistake right now.

Talking on the NFL on FOX Podcast, the analyst argued that Toney’s offsides call was actually his first of the season, adding that he only has three drops all year, and two of those came in the season opener.

Chiefs have bigger issues than the controversial call against Buffalo.

Time to give Kadarius Toney a break, people.

He called Toney ‘the most talented’ player on his receiving corps outside of Travis Kelce, and pointed out that the Chiefs have struggled with drops since last year, so their issues run deeper than just one man.

He’s right on point there, as the Chiefs simply cannot afford to give up on the few playmakers they have on their subpar receiving corps.

Then again, it’s not like Toney has done anything to earn the team’s trust either, and this goes all the way back to his days with the New York Giants.

The Chiefs don’t look like a Super Bowl contender right now, and most of that has to do with their subpar receiving corps.

Poor reads, bad route-running, a lack of separation, and countless drops continue to hold this team back, and it might be too late to change that.
