The Kansas City Chiefs are fresh off winning their second straight Super Bowl.
They were able to take home the Lombardi Trophy despite having a less-than-ideal receiver room and being the worse team on paper against the San Francisco 49ers.
While there is significant optimism surrounding the team, particularly regarding their chances of winning again next year, Willie Colon noted caution in a recent appearance on The Carton Show.
He talked about the Chiefs’ free-agent decisions, noting Chris Jones and L’Jarius Sneed as the two most important pieces to retain.
“If you’re serious about going to another Super Bowl, you have to find a way to get both of these dudes back in the building, especially L’Jarius Sneed,” Colon said.

While Colon and the rest of the NFL community continue to be in awe of Patrick Mahomes and the magic he creates on the field, the Chiefs still need a viable defense.
Their defense was a big reason they made it to the Super Bowl this season, and Jones and Snead were two of the most important pieces of this unit.
If one or both of them walk in free agency, it could be detrimental to the team’s chances of winning another title in 2024.
The next several months should provide a lot of clarity in terms of what the Chiefs are thinking, and what they’re going to do moving forward.
They will need to do something, whether it’s spending a bunch of money on Snead and Jones, or pivoting via the draft or free agency to fill their roles.
