The Dallas Cowboys were unable to make a Super Bowl run during the 2022 season, much to the dismay of their organization.
While the Cowboys have found regular season success over the past several years, another Lombardi Trophy has evaded them.
Many analysts and fans have criticized the team, highlighting key areas for potential improvement.
One of those areas is the quarterback position, as many have pointed to Dak Prescott as one of their top issues.
However, in a recent segment of ‘Speak’ on FS1, James Jones indicated that Prescott could be on the rebound in 2023.
“Dak Prescott will benefit from Mike McCarthy calling the plays,” Jones said.

After the departure of Kellen Moore as the offensive coordinator, McCarthy has been tasked with calling plays for the upcoming season.
McCarthy’s career has been somewhat of a whirlwind, as he has achieved various bouts of success.
He was instrumental in the development of Aaron Rodgers for the Green Bay Packers, and for many years, was seen as a top coach in the league.
Ultimately, however, McCarthy was only able to lead the Packers to the mountaintop once and hasn’t won a Super Bowl since.
More eyes are on McCarthy and the Cowboys, considering their standing as “America’s team.”
If Prescott and the team are able to find success this year, it could be an indication that McCarthy is doing a great job in his role.
If they finish with another lackluster season, particularly on offense, the team might consider some staffing changes moving forward.
