The New York Giants lost their best player this offseason, and they didn’t do anything to prevent that.
If anything, they opened the door and pushed him out.
That’s why it’s hard to blame Saquon Barkley for signing with the Philadelphia Eagles of all teams.
He’s coming back home and, while he’s joining a divisional rival, it only makes sense that he has a bit of a personal agenda against his former team.
More than that, the Giants are going to find out the hard way just how good he was.
At least, that’s how Plaxico Burress feels.
Talking on The Carton Show, the former Super Bowl champion stated that the Giants are definitely going to miss their star running back.
“You don’t miss him till he’s gone. The New York Giants are really going to miss Saquon Barkley.”

He stated that he was their focal point of the offense, and they won’t have him out of the backfield or lining up for screen passes anymore.
Barkley could have a huge year for the Eagles, as he won’t have to do all the heavy lifting.
The Eagles have an elite offensive line and they’ll give him the best supporting cast he’s ever had.
And to make things even more bitter for Giants fans, they’re going to have to deal with him twice a year.
Barkley tried to be a Giant for life, and he made it loud and clear.
The team didn’t value him or respect him enough, and they will now have to deal with those consequences for years to come.
