Over the last few weeks, there has been increasingly loud chatter about the Toronto Raptors possibly trading away Pascal Siakam.

In fact, it seems like it’s just a matter of time before the two-time All-Star leaves the Raptors for another team.

Speaking on Run It Back, Earl Watson discussed what Siakam could bring to another franchise and said that the concept of him playing for the Indiana Pacers is quite attractive.

Watson claims that Siakam is “a closer of size who can get to the free-throw line, get to the rim, and create a pass.”

He added that Siakam’s “patience in the paint” leads to him making some very impressive and consequential assists and that would work wonders in Indiana.

“It’d be interesting to see [Tyrese] Haliburton and Pascal [Siakam] down the stretch.”@Earl_Watson on places Pascal Siakam would fit.

A few teams have been floated as new homes for Siakam, including the Golden State Warriors and the Sacramento Kings.

However, nothing has developed with either of those teams and he currently remains in Toronto, although he will likely be leaving soon.

The Raptors want to move quickly so they can have a deal done before the February trade deadline.

The Pacers could certainly find great use out of Siakam, who is averaging 22.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 5 assists per game.

But will they take a run at signing him?

They are currently the sixth team in the East with a 21-15 record, which is better than they have done in years.

Siakam could definitely help them out in a few ways but do they want to risk messing up the lineup they have right now?

As of now, there is no definitive news about the Pacers inquiring about Siakam but that could change quickly as the trade deadline approaches.
