Analyst Says It’s Likely That 1 Bears WR Is ‘One And Done’

The Chicago Bears are easily the biggest winners of the NFL offseason.

They got Caleb Williams with the No. 1 pick, and he’s going to have an elite set of toys to play with.

They already had DJ Moore there, and they got him D’Andre Swift, Keenan Allen, and Rome Odunze.

Nonetheless, one of them might not be there for long.

In the latest edition of ESPN 1000’s “Kap & J. Hood,” they both agreed that Allen’s tenure there would most likely be a “one-and-done” kind of thing.

He’s not particularly young, and with Odunze entering his second year in the league, they might feel comfortable letting him walk away and spend that money to address other areas of need.

They believe they should be just fine, as they would still have two All-Pro-caliber wide receivers.

They would also have Cole Kmet, who’s proven to be a reliable pass-catcher.

Of course, there’s also a chance they will end up signing him to a contract extension if he balls out, but that just doesn’t seem that likely at this point.

As great a player as Allen is, he’s not particularly young, and the Bears clearly have plenty of faith in Odunze as a potential WR1.

The Bears should be one of the most — if not the most — improved teams in the league next season.

Still, they could use all that money to improve their offensive line, so Bears fans might want to buy Allen’s jersey while they still can before he heads out of the door.
