This could be the beginning of the end for the Cleveland Cavaliers as we know them.

They weren’t even close to posing a legitimate threat to the Boston Celtics, and it seemed like Joe Mazzulla mailed Game 2 in during that loss.

There are doubts about J.B. Bickerstaff and his ability to lead the team to success, as well as whether Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley can coexist in the paint.

There are also doubts about Darius Garland’s fit with Donovan Mitchell, so this team has more questions than answers right now.

With that in mind, ESPN insider Zach Lowe claimed that it was officially time to “freak out” in Cleveland.

In his latest appearance on “Get Up,” the renowned insider stated that the Los Angeles Lakers could make a run at Mitchell, as they could trade three first-round picks and Austin Reaves to get him.

He also cited a desperate Brooklyn Nets team that could give Mitchell an opportunity to get back to his hometown and that needs to do something to get back to relevance after the Kyrie Irving-Kevin Durant fiasco.

Then, he talked about the Miami Heat, which has been linked to Mitchell in the past and has plenty of tradable assets to try and get a deal done.

Whatever the case, it’s hard to think that Mitchell would sign a contract extension in the offseason if he didn’t sign it before.

And with all the league-wide interest in his services, it seems like it’s just a matter of time before we see him somewhere else.
