Now that the NBA season is officially over, all fans are waiting to hear what’s next for Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies.
The league is set to announce the extent of Morant’s suspension any day now, and most people expect it to be severe.
While Morant will likely miss a lengthy amount of time next season after brandishing a gun on social media live streams, he still has a chance at serious redemption.
Jay Williams thinks that Morant could make this next episode one of the most important of his career and his young life.
“[Ja Morant] has a chance to be one of the greatest redemption stories in basketball,” Williams said on Thursday’s episode of Get Up.
“[Ja Morant] has a chance to be one of the greatest redemption stories in basketball. … If you do the things as it relates to therapy and taking care of your mental health … you have a chance to still be the face of the NBA.”

Commissioner Adam Silver recently said that he would announce Morant’s punishment after the NBA Finals concluded.
The championship finished the other day, of course, so one assumes that Morant’s suspension will be revealed soon.
Most analysts believe that Morant could be on the bench for dozens of games, perhaps even half the season or more.
Williams is hoping that Morant takes that time to work on himself, pursue therapy, address his mental health, and make himself a better man.
If he does that, he can still “be the face of the NBA” according to Williams.
This is clearly a turning point and major crossroads for the exciting Grizzlies star.
He will need to make some substantial changes and vow to never repeat the same mistakes again.
There is no doubt that if he does this even one more time, he may be out of the league forever and his career could be irrevocably tarnished.
Will he make the best of this upcoming suspension and be a story that’s worth sharing?
