The Philadelphia 76ers‘ 2022-2023 season ended with a conference semifinal loss to the Boston Celtics.
While they made the playoffs for the sixth-consecutive season, they haven’t broken through the way many have expected.
“Trust the process” may be a great, feel-good slogan, but ultimately, their current roster construction hasn’t led to an NBA Finals berth.
This lack of finals appearances could be weighing on star Joel Embiid, as Vince Goodwill recently highlighted.
On the ‘Ball Don’t Lie’ podcast, Goodwill said, “I can see Joel Embiid being a bit antsy sooner rather than later.”
Time is ticking for the Sixers to make a move with Joel Embiid @VinceGoodwill and @ChelseaSherrod break down the situation in Philly and more on Good Word with Goodwill

Embiid is entering his age-29 season and will turn 30 in March.
While he’s still in the prime of his career, the clock is ticking.
Chelsea Sherrod compared the 76ers’ current state with the Los Angeles Angels and Shohei Ohtani.
She believes that to keep Embiid and ensure his long-term happiness, something needs to happen.
In Sherrod’s eyes, the organization must do something to keep him around.
Whether that might be trading for another star, or simply adding more supporting players remains to be seen.
Regardless, the 76ers are in a difficult spot.
With Embiid on the roster, it seems inevitable that the 76ers will continue to make the playoffs.
While making the playoffs might seem like a great achievement to some teams, for the 76ers, it’s about more than just a berth.
They’ve been there for the past six years, and they are likely growing tired of their continued first or second-round exits.
What does this team have to do to establish themselves as the best team in the Eastern Conference?
