For years now, the Chicago Bulls have looked like a mediocre team that has no shot of winning a title and the 2023-24 NBA season finally feels like the team will make massive changes to the roster.
The Bulls are currently 5-14 and sit in 13th in the Eastern Conference, a far cry from where the organization was hoping to be when they decided to keep the team roughly the same during free agency.
The trio of DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine, and Nikola Vucevic has severely underwhelmed and Chicago is starting to realize that breaking them up might be in everyone’s best interest.
DeRozan and LaVine have been two of the most popular names on the trade market and with each passing loss the possibility of them getting moved increases.
Chicago is tough to watch every game as their offense has no identity while defensively there isn’t much effort or spirit.
Media personalities like Bill Simmons noted how bad the Bulls have looked and made a joke about their trade options via his personal Twitter account.
The Bulls look absolutely miserable, it’s hilarious. Each guy’s uniform should have a Trade Machine QR Code patch.

Simmons’ words might sound harsh, but the sentiment is right on point as Chicago looks like a team that’s in desperate need of a change.
The Bulls would be wise to blow up the roster as they’ve got several players aside from DeRozan and LaVine that playoff teams would love to have.
Chicago could get multiple valuable draft assets to help kickstart a rebuild if they’re willing to clean house, and right now it seems like they’re finally accepting that reality.
