Many people were excited to see what OG Anunoby could do for the New York Knicks when he was traded to the team a few weeks ago.

As noted by Fred Katz, the Knicks have gone 11-2 since their acquisition of Anunoby.

Things were looking great for the team on Thursday night when the Knicks took down the reigning champion Denver Nuggets.

As Katz put it, in addition to saying the team is “transformed” since the trade, he wrote: “It’s difficult to look at them as anything other than a team on the rise.”

The Knicks have transformed since acquiring OG Anunoby. They’re 11-2 since the trade. And now, after a 38-point demolition of the defending champs, it’s difficult to look at them as anything other than a team on the rise.

They are definitely a team on the rise and really have been for some time.

Jalen Brunson added a huge boost of energy and efficiency when he came to the team last season.

Donte DiVincenzo and Josh Hart have also helped the team in a big way.

Of course, Anunoby’s impact cannot be discounted and he has quickly made a name for himself in New York.

During his first 13 games with the Knicks, Anunoby has averaged 15.4 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.8 steals.

During Thursday’s win over the Nuggets, he had 26 points and 6 steals.

The offense in New York is very strong and the defense has become a lot better since Anunoby joined the team.

The Knicks are now the fourth team in the East and hold a 28-17 record.

Fans are wondering if they can keep it up for the next few months or if they are simply peaking right now because of the addition of Anunoby.

Coming up next for New York will be games against the Miami Heat, Charlotte Hornets, and Utah Jazz, followed by the Indiana Pacers and Los Angeles Lakers.

There is a feeling among Knicks fans that this is the best version of the team in years.

They are currently creating a lot of hype but they can keep up with it in the weeks and months ahead?
