Unlike the rest of the National Football League, the Philadelphia Eagles never had doubts about their quarterback situation.
GM Howie Roseman always had faith in Jalen Hurts’ ability to be a star in the league.
He gave him the weapons he needed to thrive, and he responded by having an MVP-caliber season.
That’s why — even though he was recently signed to one of the most lucrative contracts in the history of the league — NFL insider Kimberley A. Martin took to ESPN’s Get Up to claim he’s the most disrespected player in the NFL right now.

Per Martin, there’s simply no way that Hurts should be ranked No. 6 in ESPN’s polls after he outplayed Patrick Mahomes in the Super Bowl.
She claims he’s the most disrespected guy in the league after he proved that not only he could be a starter but also lead a team to the biggest stage in the league.
It makes sense, and he did have more impressive stats than Mahomes in the Super Bowl, but that doesn’t mean he’s the best player in his position by any means.
Hurts is most definitely a top-10 quarterback and he’s coming off a spectacular season, but he still needs to do it more than once to be ahead of some of the guys that were ranked above him.
Even so, he has an elite supporting cast and a front office that clearly believes in him, so he’ll have plenty more chances to silence the critics and get the praise he’s due.
