Justin Fields’ tenure with the Chicago Bears was far from impressive.
And while he didn’t live up to the expectations and deserves some of the blame for that, they also failed him over and over.
The coaching staff simply refused to tailor their offense to his strengths, and his supporting cast was, for lack of a better word, subpar.
However, every now and then, an organization goes through a major turnaround overnight, and the Bears did absolutely everything they could to make sure that Caleb Williams succeeds.
That’s why NFL analyst Trey Wingo believes Wiliams is walking into a perfect situation.
Talking to Chase Daniel on The 33rd Team, Wingo raved about the Bears’ offensive acquisitions.

He believes that, as a rookie, there’s not much more you could ask for after getting Keenan Allen, Cole Kmet, Rome Udonze, DJ Moore, and D’Andre Swift.
We’ve seen the Bears mess things up with their quarterbacks over and over, but all eyes are on them now.
They just cannot afford to walk the same path with Williams.
For starters, they have to build their offensive scheme and system around Williams’ skills, and his input has to matter as well.
The offensive line continues to be a bit suspect, but they’ve given him so many weapons that he’s still going to have more than enough resources to get by.
Williams is a special talent, and once a player like him shows up, you just have to build everything else around him.
