Russell Wilson’s first season with the Denver Broncos definitely didn’t go as planned.

He was a shell of himself, holding the team back and struggling every single time he set foot on the gridiron.

However, as terrible as he looked in his first year in Mile High, we can’t ignore everything he’s accomplished since he entered the league.

That’s why former defensive player Chris Canty believes there’s no doubt that Wilson has done more than enough already to be considered a future Hall of Famer.

Canty pointed out that since Wilson entered the league, he’s third in touchdown passes behind Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers and second in wins behind Brady.

And even though wins aren’t a QB stat, he should still be credited for that 9-7 playoff record, as well as for the fact that he’s made the playoffs in eight out of 11 seasons.

There’s no denying that Wilson is one of the greatest dual-threat quarterbacks of all time and one of the best in the league over the past decade-plus.

Even if he “only” has one Super Bowl ring to show for it, and regardless of never winning an MVP, there’s no way to deny his impact on winning.

But if someone can turn the corner and go back to his winning ways, that’s Russell Wilson, especially with a veteran coach like Sean Payton now taking the reins of the team.
