The 2022-23 NBA regular season is nearing its end, with the playoff picture shaping up in both the Eastern and Western Conferences.
The Milwaukee Bucks are one of only three teams in the league that have clinched a playoff and their respective division titles, along with the Denver Nuggets and Memphis Grizzlies.
Although the Bucks are cruising into the playoffs once again, Milwaukee may have an Achilles heel in the form of the defending Eastern Conference champion Boston Celtics, according to Nick Wright of Fox Sports.
“Boston has shown they’re the worst matchup in the league for Milwaukee. … Boston knows they can go to Milwaukee and win. This isn’t nothing. But Milwaukee will still be the No. 1 seed. I don’t think the Bucks will have to play the Celtics in the playoffs.” — @getnickwright pic.twitter.com/rEBKrrvkyY

Even though a case could be made that the Bucks are simply waiting for the playoffs now rather than taking the rest of the regular season seriously, the Celtics crushing Milwaukee by 41 points is concerning, to say the least.
Fortunately for Milwaukee, Giannis Antetokounmpo and company won’t have to face Boston until the later rounds of the playoffs.
However, if the Bucks do have to face the Celtics at some point in the postseason, Boston having Milwaukee’s number during the regular season may come back to haunt the top seed in the East.
Although this potential playoff matchup may be concerning for the Bucks right now, the fact is that Milwaukee is the team to beat moving forward, and anything can happen in the playoffs, as it is basically another season entirely with players expected to play at a different level.
Both the Bucks and Celtics have won seven of their last 10 games and, by all accounts, will head to the upcoming postseason playing championship-caliber basketball.
