The Los Angeles Lakers entered this NBA season with hopes of making a run at the championship.
But, to do so they will need to keep their roster healthy.
Injuries have been a significant issue for the Lakers in recent years and that has put a lot of pressure on LeBron James.
James is 38 years old and in his 21st NBA season.
But he still looks to be at the top of his game.
Rachel Nichols went on “Undisputed” and pointed out how his offseason work is paying off.
He is playing great in the fourth quarter of games and has even seen his jump shot improve.
.@Rachel__Nichols praises LeBron’s late-game efforts with caution:
“This offseason is paying off. But you got to get more from the others so he doesn’t have to save them in the first 3 quarters.” pic.twitter.com/mPNKa4BCld

Yet, he still needs to play a lot of minutes for the Lakers to have success.
Lakers head coach Darvin Ham said after the first game that he was hoping to keep James around 30 minutes per game.
Well, if they want to win, then he must play more than that.
James was forced to play 42 minutes on Wednesday night in an overtime game with the Los Angeles Clippers.
Part of the issue with the Lakers is that James is their best and most consistent player.
The rest of their roster is struggling to pick up the slack when James is off the floor.
Every Laker fan has been waiting for Anthony Davis to take the reins of the franchise from James.
But it seems that day is never coming.
Davis is not consistently great every night.
That means James must rack up high minutes to help the Lakers win games.
