The last time the Baltimore Ravens won the Super Bowl, they weren’t even supposed to make it.

Joe Flacco led the team to an unlikely and iconic win, and they haven’t made it back to the big game ever since.

That’s despite having one of the best quarterbacks in the game in Lamar Jackson, not to mention a great head coach and an outstanding defense.

They were pretty close to getting over the hump last season but the final outcome was the same.

That’s why NFL analyst Joe Fortenbaugh compared them to the Philadelphia 76ers in the sense that no one seems to truly believe in them anymore.

Talking on ESPN’s First Take, he stated that no one was picking them to win the AFC or even their own division because they know that, after six years, this is just who Lamar Jackson is.

Thus, he doesn’t think there’s any actual pressure to win the whole thing because no one thinks of them as actual candidates, just like in the NBA with the Sixers.

That’s a bit of a hot take, to say the least, but he might be right.

For years, fans and pundits have criticized Jackson and doubted his ability to get the job done when it actually counts.

He’s clearly one of the best players in the game and a two-time MVP.

But at this point in his career, as much as he should be expected to finish the job, some might not feel that way about him anymore.
