The situation for the Milwaukee Bucks is “worrisome” right now, according to Brian Windhorst.
Windhorst appeared on “First Take” on Thursday and spoke about the current state of the team.
Although they are currently the second seed in the Eastern Conference, Windhorst thinks it’s very possible that the Bucks could be eliminated from the playoffs in the opening around.
He said this would be due to the team’s inability to limit opponents, especially in the paint.
But he also mentioned the return of Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers as a major obstacle for the Bucks.

If the current standings hold, the Bucks could face the 76ers in the opening round.
Philadelphia is the eighth seed right now but Windhorst claims that ranking is “deflated” because they haven’t been playing with Embiid for the last few months.
Now that the reigning MVP is back, he could make up for lost time and help the team perform like true contenders and earn the seventh seed.
Do the Bucks have what it takes to stop them in the first round of the playoffs?
They better hope so because they suffered a humiliating elimination in the opening round of the postseason last year and they certainly don’t want that to happen again.
Back-to-back years with the same fate would look incredibly bad for Milwaukee.
The team’s constant defensive issues are also very troubling and could spell doom for them.
Even against lackluster teams such as the Memphis Grizzlies and Washington Wizards, the Bucks have had a hard time minimizing offense.
That simply cannot fly in the playoffs.
The Bucks could return to the NBA Finals this year, but they could also be one of the first teams pushed out.
