The NFL Draft is rapidly approaching, and if this year’s prospects pan out anywhere close to the level of hype they are getting, this could be one of the best classes in history.

There are many impressive, deep positional groups, including quarterback, which could have several players go in the first round.

One of the most discussed QB prospects is Drake Maye, who has received mixed reviews over the past several weeks.

Some fans and analysts are excited to see what he can do, while others aren’t convinced that he can perform at a high level in the NFL.

Daniel Jeremiah seems to be a big fan of Maye’s and believes his college production demonstrates what kind of pro he can be.

As Jeremiah put it on a recent segment of The Joel Klatt Show, “If we’re talking about the foundation of a successful quarterback, he has all of it.”

Jeremiah believes that Maye has a great foundation, which might indicate he’s ready to start in the NFL immediately.

Recent history has suggested that it might be better for quarterbacks to wait a year or two until they are ready, but it’s unclear if Maye’s team will take that approach.

In recent mock drafts, Maye has been taken as high as the No. 2 overall pick, while other analysts have suggested he could fall.

Ultimately, NFL teams will decide what they think of Maye, and while Jeremiah’s evaluation is often viewed highly around the league, teams might not see things in a similar light.
