At one point during the 2023 NFL regular season, the defending NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles looked like they were the best team in the league, with another trip to the Super Bowl potentially on the horizon.

The Eagles had the best record in the NFL for most of the season, with Jalen Hurts and company sporting a record with only one loss, but now things appear to be spiraling out of control for Philadelphia.

After winning five straight games, the Eagles have now lost two in a row to arguably their toughest competition in the NFC.

As if the embarrassing loss to the San Francisco 49ers wasn’t bad enough, Philadelphia followed it up with a loss that was equally bad to the division-rival Dallas Cowboys on the road.

With the Eagles potentially starting to show their true colors, Emmanuel Acho of FOX Sports believes this year’s version of Philadelphia’s squad is a knockoff version of last year’s team, via “Speak” on FS1.

Even though it might be premature to jump on the Eagles for the team’s shortcomings over the last two weeks, Acho does have some valid points, especially when saying this team isn’t as talented as they were last season.

Fortunately for Philadelphia, the last four games of the season will be relatively easy for the defending NFC champions, with the Eagles set to face the Seattle Seahawks, New York Giants (2x), and Arizona Cardinals.

If the Eagles can get back to form in these tune-up games, Philadelphia might be able to make some noise again in the NFL playoffs.
