There are so many big quarterback prospects in this upcoming NFL Draft that some of them are getting lost in the shuffle.
You have Heisman winners Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels both likely off the board by pick No. 3, Heisman finalists such as Michael Penix Jr. and Bo Nix who could go anywhere in the first few rounds, and prototypical prospect Drake Maye and National Champion J.J. McCarthy both slotted top 10 as well.
One of the under-the-radar guys is Tennessee’s Joe Milton, who NFL Insider Greg Cosell describes as “a freak as a thrower but you watch him enough and you start to think, ‘does he know where it’s going?’”

Milton checks all the boxes athletically and has one of the most gifted arms we’ve ever seen, but the production was never there during his six seasons in college.
Cosell also highlighted how Milton ran one of the purest versions of an air raid passing attack with a lot of fast tempo, widespread formations, and quick reads with lots of predetermined throws.
Milton put up 20 touchdowns and just five interceptions last season in Tennessee to go along with a career-high seven rushing touchdowns.
You don’t often consider a prospect with six years in college from Power 5 conferences (three each in Michigan and Tennessee) as a project quarterback, but that’s exactly what Milton is.
There’s a reason why his draft stock is low despite the arm talent, as his film just doesn’t match up with his ability.
Someone will surely take a shot on Milton in the mid-to-late rounds of the draft, and he will be someone to keep an eye on as he develops.
