The New York Jets are thinking about Super Bowls and parades.
People are already talking about all the pressure HC Robert Saleh will be under and how he could and should be fired if this team fails to live up to the expectations this season.
Of course, it’s one thing to lose in the AFC Championship Game and another to not even make the playoffs, so it’ll all depend on how their season ends and how they fare on the field.
Whatever the case, former NFL star Plaxico Burress believes the Jets will have a tough time getting to that mountaintop and winning the Super Bowl in year one, via The Carton Show.
“I believe the Jets will live up to the hype, but for them to get to a Super Bowl in Year 1, it’ll be tough…Maybe they’ll get there in Year 2.”

However, he believes they could get the job done in their second season together, or even the third, granted that Rodgers fulfills his word of staying in Gotham for years to come.
Not many people have been able to lead two different teams to the Super Bowl as starting quarterbacks, with Tom Brady and Peyton Manning as the only guys to do it and also win the big game.
There’s no denying that adding Rodgers significantly raises their floor and ceiling, and it would be foolish not to consider the Jets to be legitimate Super Bowl contenders for as long as he’s out there and healthy.
But as good and stacked as they look on both sides of the field, paper doesn’t win championships, and it takes time to develop chemistry and fulfill a team’s potential, and they’re no exception to that rule.
