No team in NBA history has come back from being down 0-3 in the playoffs.
Unfortunately for them, the Dallas Mavericks haven’t shown any evidence to suggest they could be the first squad to break that historic trend.
Therefore, most people assume Luka Doncic and his team will eventually lose this series, but can they at least give their fans some sort of hope on Friday night?
Speaking on “The Carton Show,” Tim Hardaway Sr. said that the Mavericks “better not embarrass themselves and get swept in front of their home crowd.”

He added that the Boston Celtics are clearly the better team and will ultimately take home another championship but he also believes the Mavericks will come out fighting hard on Friday night.
There are many reasons to believe that’s true: Doncic is trying to redeem himself after a bad Game 3, Kyrie Irving is playing much better, and the home-court crowd is going to be very enthusiastic.
With that being said, the Mavericks also looked good at the start of Game 3 a few nights ago.
In fact, they held a double-digit lead briefly and seemed in control of the court.
But then the Celtics did what they often do and climbed back into the game and eventually took the lead.
At this point, even the most devoted Mavericks fan is feeling pessimistic about their team’s chances.
It seems that this Dallas team was a bit too inexperienced, especially when compared to the Celtics.
But that doesn’t mean this series has to be a total loss.
If they can win one or two games, they can show fans that there is still reason to be excited about the seasons ahead, even though this one didn’t end as they wanted.
