The Golden State Warriors have dominated the NBA for the last decade or so.
While the trio of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green have received their flowers from fans, many have forgotten the contribution of Andre Iguodala to the Warriors’ four titles in a span of eight years.
Iguodala even won the 2015 NBA Finals MVP for helping the Warriors defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers in six games.
The four-time NBA champion had contemplated retiring from the NBA over the last couple of years.
Iguodala finally made the call to retire from the NBA ahead of the 2023-24 season and recently explained his decision, via SB Nation on Twitter.

Iguodala played in the NBA for 19 years and averaged 11.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game for his career before hanging up his sneakers.
The 39-year-old explained the toll of playing in the league for almost two decades is finally too much for him.
He explained how athletes are in constant pain due to injuries throughout their careers.
In addition to that, Iguodala mentioned that his son has grown up, and the former Warriors star wants to spend more time with his family.
Either way, Iguodala had a fulfilling career in which he won four NBA championships, one NBA Finals MVP, two NBA All-Defensive selections, and one NBA All-Star appearance.
All things considered, Iguodala has a chance to be inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in the future.
