Golden State Warriors star Andre Iguodala has found plenty of success on the court.

He was an All-Star, made it to the All-Defensive team, won an Olympic gold medal and a FIBA World Championship, is a four-time NBA champion, a former Finals MVP, and despite his unimpressive career averages, he could still mess around and make it to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

However, despite all the great things he’s done on the court, perhaps his success off it has been even more impressive, as he’s made sure to multiply his wealth by making some sound investments — including one in Zoom –, clearly making the most of his time close to Silicon Valley.

In his latest appearance on Gilbert Arenas’ “Gil’s Arena” show, the four-time NBA champion offered a piece of advice for younger players.

He urged them to be smart about their money and stay educated, keep an eye on their managers and make sure that they can put some money aside to diversify their portfolio.

Iguodala talked about the crazy amounts of money young players are getting nowadays, adding that they have more than enough to enjoy themselves, even after paying their bills and even taking care of their families.

Back in the day, a hooper getting a $300 million contract was unheard of, but that could be the new trend in today’s game.

That’s why younger players need to be smart about their finances, because regardless of how much money they make, they can always spend even more.
