Few head coaches in the history of the NFL have been more successful than Andy Reid, as he’s been successful wherever he’s coached in the league from over a decade with the Philadelphia Eagles to an incredibly successful stint with the Kansas City Chiefs, which is ongoing.
Although Reid was never able to win a Super Bowl title with the Eagles, the veteran head coach has been tremendously successful in Kansas City, as he has now coached the franchise to three titles with superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes leading the way under center.
Reid is currently in his best stretch with the Chiefs, as he helped lead the team to back-to-back titles and now is getting consideration as one of the greatest head coaches in the history of the game.
Despite being the cream of the crop in the NFL right now, he is still chasing former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, which he openly admits, via “Speak” on FS1.
“I’m a big fan of Bill Belichick,” Reid said. “I put him right at the top for our era. Then I think you have to break it down into eras as you go. … Bill Belichick’s record speaks for itself, I think.”

Belichick may have just been relieved from his job as Patriots head coach, but he is still the closest to Don Shula for the distinction as the league’s most winningest head coach, which he’ll likely continue to pursue.
However, Reid will likely also remain in the running for this distinction, as he’ll continue to ride the success of the Chiefs with Mahomes calling the shots.
