The Kansas City Chiefs have been without star running back Isiah Pacheco for the past two weeks after he underwent shoulder surgery.
But with three games left on the regular season schedule and the postseason looming, Pacheco has a chance to return.
Head coach Andy Reid announced Monday that Pacheco will be back for the team’s Week 16 match against the Las Vegas Raiders, according to NFL Network’s James Palmer.
Andy Reid says RB Isiah Pacheco, who underwent a shoulder surgery to clean up some stuff in there, will be back this week and is good to go.

The news is fantastic for a Chiefs squad that hasn’t been able to rush for more than 82 yards in a game over the past two weeks.
However, Kansas City did pick up its first win in three weeks after the team beat the New England Patriots, 27-17, thanks almost exclusively to its passing attack.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw for 305 passing yards and two touchdowns.
Backup Clyde Edwards-Helaire led the team for the second consecutive week, but he only managed 37 rushing yards on 13 carries while catching four passes for 64 yards and a touchdown.
Fellow backup Jerick McKinnon threw for and caught a touchdown but only gained 11 rushing yards on four attempts and caught three passes for 19 yards.
Pacheco’s return should bolster the Chiefs’ run game after he averaged 64.9 rushing yards per game before his injury.
He’s tallied 779 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns on 176 carries this season and the team as a whole averaged 109.9 rushing yards per game in Pacheco’s 12 games as a starter.
Kansas City will now face the 24th-ranked run defense in the NFL as it careens towards a potential eighth consecutive AFC West title.
