The Los Angeles Angels have been busy this year at the trade deadline.

After declaring that they would not be trading Shohei Ohtani, the Halos went out and acquired Lucas Giolito and Reynaldo Lopez from the Chicago White Sox.

Late on Sunday, the Angels were at it again, bringing back a few familiar faces in a trade with the Colorado Rockies.

The Angels added sluggers Randal Grichuk and C.J. Cron in the trade and sent two pitching prospects, left-hander Mason Albright and right-hander Jake Madden back to Colorado.

On Twitter, MLB insider Bob Nightengale revealed the news of the Halos’ latest trade.

Grichuk is a former Angels farmhand.

The Halos drafted him one pick ahead of Mike Trout in 2009.

The slugger was traded to the St. Louis Cardinals after the 2013 season along with Peter Bourjos in exchange for David Freese and Fernando Salas.

Cron made his Major League debut with the Angels back in 2014.

He made brief stops with the Tampa Bay Rays, Minnesota Twins, and Detroit Tigers before joining the Rockies.

Now, Cron is back with the Angels and has reunited with Mike Trout.

The Angels are slowly creeping up on the New York Yankees in the American League Wild Card race.

They are only a half-game behind the Yankees and sit four games back of the Toronto Blue Jays for the final AL Wild Card spot.

The Angels own a record of 55-51, and have proven their desire to win and do so while Shohei Ohtani is still around.
