The Los Angeles Angels have busted out of their slump and are now winning games again.

After a long losing streak, they now have won three consecutive games and just managed to sweep the slumping New York Yankees.

In doing so, the Halos have climbed back over the .500 mark and are now just 4.5 games back of the final AL Wild Card spot.

Los Angeles scored seven runs in their series finale against the Yankees.

After the game, infielder Luis Rengifo, who led the way with a two-run homer, caught up with Jon Morosi and discussed his thoughts on the Angels’ recent resurgence.

Rengifo discussed all that has been working for the Angels as of late.

He believes the combination of hitting, pitching, and defense has led to their success.

Rengifo was asked about his home run off of Carlos Rodon and how he was able to take advantage of the left-hander not throwing many sliders.

The second baseman noticed that Rodon was relying heavily on his fastball and took advantage of his opportunity.

Rengifo also talked about how his preparation with hitting coach Marcus Thames has helped him out, revealing that he has been able to make the necessary adjustments to improve at the plate.

Finally, Rengifo talked about the Angels and their recent resurgence.

The veteran infielder says that right now, the team is feeling good about things, putting in the extra work and having fun as a result of their recent winning streak.

Los Angeles now owns a record of 49-48.
