For months, Caleb Williams has been touted as the next big thing in the NFL.
The projected No. 1 pick has drawn comparisons to Patrick Mahomes, and while that might be a bit of a stretch, the resemblance could be uncanny at times.
Williams has a knack for making spectacular plays, and it seems like there’s no throw that’s too big for him.
That’s why an anonymous NFL coach told The Athletic that he’s a “ridiculous” prospect who seems to get bored when things get easy, and he’s the kind of guy who could make any complicated throw.

Nonetheless, not everything is positive about Williams.
There have been several concerns about his character.
He fell short multiple times in big games in college, and his last season at USC wasn’t exactly impressive from a team perspective.
Also, some have talked about his demeanor and how he handles himself, not to mention the fact that his father reportedly demanded whichever team drafted him to give him a minority stake in the organization.
At the end of the day, it takes way more than just talent to find success in the National Football League.
And while the Chicago Bears seem to be bracing themselves for the future to put him in the best position possible, they have a long history of shortcomings and mismanagement in their history.
Hopefully, that won’t be the case this time around, as Williams looks like a special kind of talent, and it would be a shame not to see him fulfill his potential.
