Anthony Davis of the Los Angeles Lakers is a three-time blocking leader, eight-time All-Star, member of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, and a Finals champion as well.
That is quite the career and legacy.
Still, some people constantly diminish Davis’ accomplishments and call him soft because he has experienced many injuries.
But BasketballNews.com points out that Davis has managed to play more games since 2019-20 than other stars like Steph Curry, Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, and the duo of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.
Since joining the Lakers, Anthony Davis was labeled as:

Davis has participated in 194 games during that time while George has played in 129, Curry in 188, Irving in 163, Leonard with 161, and Durant with 137.
Yet, Davis is the one given the nickname “Always Damaged” and “Street Clothes.”
The truth is that NBA stars get hurt often.
It is a very physical and intense game and it can lead to serious injuries multiple times.
And Davis has definitely missed a lot of time on the court, including during stretches of games when his team really needed him.
That is what frustrates LA fans the most: Davis has seemed to go down when things have mattered the most.
For example, during the 2020-21 playoffs, Davis got hurt right away and the Lakers lost their chance of reaching the Finals again without his assistance.
But when you look at the actual facts, you see that Davis’ time on the sidelines is actually better than some other stars who don’t receive as much criticism.
Davis played in 56 games last season, his largest number in several years.
Additionally, he stayed healthy throughout LA’s long playoff run.
People might still give Davis hurtful nicknames but the numbers speak for themselves.
