The 2023-24 NBA season has been beyond frustrating for the Los Angeles Lakers.
Despite making some key changes to their roster this past offseason, the Lakers haven’t really improved much as far as their performance is considered this season.
The 17-time NBA champions suffered another excruciating defeat during their recent matchup against the Brooklyn Nets.
Following the embarrassing loss, Lakers superstar Anthony Davis shared his honest opinion on it during the postgame interview, as revealed via Dave McMenamin on Twitter.
“There’s frustration, for sure,” Davis said.

Despite the loss keeping the Lakers from getting over the .500 mark this season, Anthony Davis believes it wasn’t a concerning defeat.
Instead, Davis believes it was a ‘frustrating’ defeat as he believes the Lakers are not doing things that they are capable of to succeed consistently.
To be honest, the Lakers do not have any excuses to be as bad as they have been this season.
They have a dynamic duo in LeBron James and Anthony Davis, who have stayed healthy for the most part of the season.
On top of that, they have some good role players, such as Austin Reaves, D’Angelo Russell, Rui Hachimura, and Jarred Vanderbilt.
Sure, the Lakers still need to improve defensively this season, and they have a good shot at doing so around the NBA Trade Deadline.
But even after that, if the Lakers fail to win consistently throughout the rest of the season, it could finally be time for them to move on either from their head coach or simply break up the current core of the team and start from scratch.
