The Minnesota Timberwolves had a strong 2023-24 NBA season, finishing with a 56-26 record and earning the third seed in the Western Conference.
Minnesota came into the year expected to make a leap, and they delivered on those projections as they owned the league’s best defense.
The Timberwolves also saw Anthony Edwards take the next step to becoming an NBA superstar following his eye-opening run during the 2023 FIBA World Cup.
Edwards may be young, but he’s shown all the signs of an alpha offensive player and he can prove that he belongs in the best player in the league conversations during the team’s first-round series against the Phoenix Suns.
Before Game 1, Edwards showed off his new Cybertruck from Tesla and was met with some strong reactions from fans via the Timberwolves.

Tesla announced that they are recalling the near-4,000 Cybertrucks that were issued due to an issue with the accelerator.
The accelerator on the car is prone to getting stuck, putting drivers at risk of getting into a crash.
It feels more like a bad omen than a flex for Edwards to pull to the arena with his Cybertruck, though he can change that narrative with a superstar performance to begin the series.
Phoenix’s “Big 3” of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal will be a formidable trio to deal with but Edwards and company have the two-way play to edge them out.
If the Timberwolves play up to their potential, they should be able to handle business against the Suns and advance to the next round.
