The one basketball player that everyone wants to be compared to is, without a doubt, former Chicago Bulls superstar Michael Jordan, as many believe the six-time NBA champion was the best player in the history of the game.
Although there’s been a lot of debate over the years with LeBron James inching closer to his title total with four rings, Jordan still seems to reign supreme in the minds of most basketball players as the best of the best.
Not since the late great Kobe Bryant has a player been directly compared with Jordan, as some thought Bryant was a carbon copy of the Bulls legend, as he seemed to be nearly identical during his dominant years with the Los Angeles Lakers, which spanned over two decades in the NBA.
However, budding superstar Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves has made a lot of noise lately, as he is starting to take the league by storm while leading his first-place team in the Western Conference this season.
Some former players turned media members have started to compare Edwards to Jordan, and the young star was recently asked about those comparisons and responded in an interview with ESPN’s Malika Andrews, via NBA on ESPN.
“I mean, how would I look denying it, but I don’t want to be compared to somebody of such caliber,” Edwards said. “I haven’t done anything on this level yet, but I love it. I love that they got faith in me, for sure. I mean, they not wrong.”

To put it into perspective, Edwards is only 22 years old and has only just started his NBA career and begun to have success while becoming the undisputed leader of the Timberwolves.
He’s got a long way to go, but he’s definitely on the right track in Minnesota, as he seems to have a bright future ahead in this league.
